mission

We, the members of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, desire to praise our Lord, nurture the churched and reach out to the unchurched in and around the Bellevue area, so that all may believe in Christ and receive the gift of eternal life.

what we believe

  • We believe that the Bible is God's Word and is the sole rule for our faith and lives
  • We believe the only true God is the triune God of the Bible - Father, Son and Holy Spirit
  • We believe that God sent his one and only Son Jesus to rescue all sinners through his life, death and resurrection
  • We believe that God gives us the faith to believe in the forgiveness of sins and eternal life that Jesus has won for us
  • We believe that God continues to daily and richly provide for all our physical and spiritual needs

We are one of over 1,200 congregations of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). We support missions here in the United States and across the world. Want more details? [Click Here]

Meet the team

  • Pastor Aaron Schultz

I joined the pastoral staff at Messiah in 2014. Growing up I enjoyed calling several places home - Plymouth, NE, where I was born; Chesaning, MI, and Juneau, WI. I attended Martin Luther College and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. I had the privilege of vicaring (internship) at Faith, Fond du Lac, WI. Even better, I met my wife there! God has blessed us with many opportunities to serve mission congregations in El Paso, TX, West Des Moines, IA, and now, Green Bay.

Jill and I have also been blessed with four children - Hannah, Levi and Hope; and a daughter Ellen who has already reached her heavenly home. I enjoy outdoor activities with my family, softball, hunting, and a good game (sporting and otherwise)...Packers anyone?

Green Bay is our home. I look forward to opportunities to grow in faith, meet new faces and share the good news of Jesus!

Leadership team

Our church is led by a church council with men eager to serve their Lord. They lead various committees who carry out the work and ministry of Messiah at the direction of the congregation. If you should ever have any questions, please feel free to contact them at any time. Their phone and email information is available in the church office or in the print edition of our church directory (back cover).
